Q: I can't connect to INCEIF e-University, what should I do?
- Steps to rectify:
- Try deleting your cookies, empty your cache, and go to www.inceif.net and login again. If it doesn't work then, give it some more hours and try again.
Q: I am unable to launch my virtual classroom. I am using the Firefox Browser.
- Steps to rectify:
- Mozilla's pop-up blocker is integrated into the browser, much like the pop-up blocker for Internet Explorer. To disable the pop-up blocker:
- Open the Tools menu and click on Options.
Click on the Content option from the tabs.
Remove the checkmark from beside the Block Popup Windows option.
Click OK to close the window.
Once this is done, then you should be able to use the online system properly. Once you are finished using the online system, you can go back into the menu again to turn on the pop-up blocker.
Q: I am unable to launch my virtual classroom. I am using the IE Browser ?
- Steps to rectify:
- Internet Explorer Version 6/7
- Select Tools menu
- Click on the Internet Option option from the tabs.
- Click on the Privacy option from the tabs
- Go to pop up blocker Settings
- You can access e-University web, http://www.inceif.net by adding the site to the exceptions list.
Q: I did not receive admission confirmation email from INCEIF on the status of my application.
- Steps to rectify:
- Please contact INCEIF IT HELPDESK by sending your queries to helpdesk@inceif.org
- Contact INCEIF IT HELPDESK at +603 7651 4100 from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM

Q: When I log in, the system shows 'Loading' for a long time and hangs. I am using the Firefox Browser.
- Steps to rectify:
- Click on 'Tool' and select 'Clear Private Data'.

- Check on 'Cookies' and click 'Clear Private Data Now'

Q: When I log in, the system shows 'Loading' for a long time and hangs. I am using the IE Browser.
- Steps to rectify:
- Click on 'Tools' and select 'Internet Options'.
- Click on the 'Delete Cookies' button and click 'ok'

Q: When I log in, all the data in the system has disappeared. I am using the Firefox Browser.
- Sometimes when MS Windows does an auto update or the is some new installations or updates of Antivirus etc, the Firefox browser may get corrupted.
- Steps to rectify:
- Close off ALL Firefox browsers.
- Click Start -> Run
- Type in firefox –ProfileManager
- The 'Firefox – Choose User Profile' screen appears as follows, with your current profile highlighted.

- Click on 'Create Profile'. The Create Profile Wizard is launched. Click 'Next'

- Enter a profile name and click 'Finish'.

- The new profile is displayed.

- Click to select to use the new profile, and click 'Start Firefox'.

Q: How do I view my personal messages?
- a. Click on 'Personal Messages' and 'Inbox'. The system will list all messages sent to you.
b. If you click on the message, you will be able to see its contents in the preview plane at the bottom half of the page.
c. If you double clisk on the message, a new screen will open to display the content of the message.
Q: As a faculty, how can I view the list of students in my course/ module?
- a. Click on 'My Courses' and double click on the module/course you would like to view. The classroom screen will be displayed.
b. Click on 'Class Activities' and 'Attendance'. The list of registered student are listed. This list also shows the last time each student accessed the system.
Q: How do I access the discussion forum within my module / course?
- a. To do so, login, click on 'My Courses', click on on a module, e.g.; 'IB1001' and click 'Enter Classroom'
b. Click on 'Discussion' tab - you will see the module related discussions in this tab.
Q: How do I view the exam schedule?
- There are 2 ways to view the exam schedule,
a. Go to Calendar, and click on 'Academic Calendar', choose 'Month' view to see all exam schedules.
b. You may also go to 'My Documents' and download the exam schedules that is in MS Word format.
Q: As ASAD user, how assist student in module deferment?
- a. (ASAD) Ensure the exam registration date is open - Login, go to Acacdemic Structure, click 'Program' tab, Double click on CIFP, check on '2008 June Semester',
click on 'Set Registration Date', Extend the end date of the
'Exam Registration Date' and click 'submit'
b. (Student) Please ask student to login and apply for deferment - Login, click on 'My Courses', Click on 'Module Registration' tab, check on the course (e.g.; FM2002),
click on 'Apply for deferment' at the bottom of the
screen. He has to upload his document (Medical cert, letter, etc) for reason of deferement, and add a comment.
c. (ASAD) Approve deferment - login, go to 'Administration', Click on 'Exam Registration' tab, check to select the student, click 'Approve'.
Q: Student has completed Part 1, how does he go to Part 2?
- a. (Student) Apply for Part 1 course completion - Click on 'My Courses', click on 'Course Registration', select CIFP Part 1, and click on 'Apply Course Completion'
b. (ASAD) Approve Course Completion - click on 'Applications for Course Completion' on the dashboard, select the student and click 'Approve'
c. (ASAD) Ensure the exam registration date is open
d. (Student) apply for registration for CIFP Part 2.
e. (ASAD) Approve his application, and assign the CIFP Part 2 base plan and any discount/scholarship plan to student (system will prompt for this when you approve).
f. (Student) apply for exams and/or tutorials and/or PES for Part 2 modules that are offered.
g. (ASAD) Approve his applications.
Q: As ASAD, how do I upload and publish the document to students, faculty, etc?
- 1. Go to 'My Documents', click 'Add Files', and upload the file you would like to publish.
- 2. Right Click on the document you have uploaded, and select 'Set Permission'
- 3. There are 3 types of permission:
- a. All My Connections - If you select this, then the document will be
viewable by everyone that is in the 'Contacts' list
- b. Selected Connections - if you select this, then the system will list all
the users of the system and you can select who you want to view the document
- c. For Everyone - if you select this, then ALL system users will be able to
view the document
- d. None - if you select this, the document will only be viewable by you.
Select the permission you want and click 'OK'
- 4. Go to 'Announcement' on the dashboard and make an announcement to the
relevant user group that you have uploaded the document for them.
Q: How to pay fee online using my Credit Card ?
- Students may choose to pay their fees online using their credit cards.
Online payment can be made for all types of fees.
To do so, when the 'Payment' screen appears,
- 1. Select payment method 'Credit Card Payment - MIGS'.
- 2. Click to select the invoice that you would like to pay. The full amount
for the invoice will be displayed automatically in the 'Amount' field.
- 3. Enter the amount to pay if you do not want to make full payment. (Please
note that the credit note # is NOT for credit card payment)
- 4. The system will launch Bank Islam's screen for selection of Visa /
Mastercard, and also to enter credit card info such as CC number, etc.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
Q: I have deferred a course/module last semester and would like to resume
the module in this semester. How do I activate it ?
- The student can activate a deferred module by the following steps:
- 1. Login with your user id and password
- 2. Click on 'My Courses' button
- 3. Click on 'Module Registration' tab
- 4. Click on the 'Pending Modules button. The 'Pending Modules' screen will
appear and his deferred modules will be listed in this screen.
- 5. Click on the module he wants to activate, and click on the 'Submit'
button.
- After this, you will see the course in the 'Classroom' tab.
Q: What is the minimum requirement to access eUniversity?
- Before accessing the eUniversity System, kindly ensure that your computer and network complies with the following specifications:
- 1. Minimum 500MHz with 256MB RAM (512MB recommended)
- 2. Mozilla Firefox 3.0 and above or internet Explorer 7.0 (Mozilla Firefox 3.0 recommended)
- 3. Flash player 8.0 & above
- 4. Windows XP or later, Mac OS X 10.4 or later
- 5.ISDN 128kbps minimum (broadband is recommended)
